Our approach in the Integrity & Grace Method is to invite in the Holy Spirit, nourish the human Soul and replenish the earthly Body.  We do this by incorporating authentic Worship, reverent Prayer and meditation upon God’s divine Word, intentionally into the process of rebuilding, lengthening and strengthening every part of the physical body through functional, restorative Exercise.  Resulting in a more peaceful state of mind, better posture, less pain, greater joint mobility and strong, lean muscles.  Which then allows us to graciously do the ordained work of God, for which we have been mightily called.  The Integrity & Grace Method gets to the true heart of the matter, long before it gets to the physical body.

Integrity & Grace is intended for all Christian seekers and believers no matter their church affiliation and all ability levels, both current exercisers and non-exercisers alike.  It effortlessly combines the solid foundation of functional-corrective exercise, core training, flexibility training, barefoot conditioning, cardiovascular endurance and strength building-intertwined with Worship, Prayer and meditation upon the divine Word of God…a “moving” Bible study if you will.

The Divine Word

We feel honored to offer the participants of Integrity & Grace the opportunity to commit God’s Word into their hearts every time they enter into His almighty presence on their mats.  Each class is intentionally designed with a foundational Scripture and devotion that is the framework for our time together and allows God’s Spirit to speak to the Soul.  Spending time meditating on God’s Divine Word is a foundational pillar of our ministry and is intentionally placed in our time together to reflect truth and to allow God’s wisdom to penetrate our lives. We truly believe that if you spend time immersed in the Word of God and allow His letter of love to permeate every part of who you are…transformational change WILL naturally happen.

My Prayer:  Almighty God, who spoke the world into being, move us to read your written Word.  When we need revelation of our own hearts, make your Word a sword and a judge for us, and give us courage to hear and obey. O God, my soul is too big to be satisfied with the writings of a mere man. I can be inspired by human words, but I can be completely fed by Your words only.  May I continually seek You in everything that I do.  Amen.

Fueling Your Fire: Dynamically Studying the Bible

Here are some simple suggestions to get you started:

  • Select an easy to read version of the Bible.  There are many versions of the Bible available; check with your local Christian bookstore for suggestions.

  • Begin independent Bible study.  Commit to even 5 minutes a day in Bible study.  I love “She Reads Truth” as an option.

  • Create a journal.  Jot down your reactions and responses to the verse(s) that you study.  There is no right or wrong.  Just get started.

  • Rather than starting at the beginning, choose something less daunting. The book of James is a great read with many topics that are applicable to every day life.   Dig into one chapter at a time and camp in it.  Highlight, reread and look up things that you don’t understand.

  • Listen to podcasts, audiotapes and CDs.  These are available on a variety of topics and are easy to listen to while spending time in the car, exercising or even cleaning.

  • Tune into Christian radio broadcasts.  There are several Christian radio stations available that play a variety of music and provide Godly conversation.  Find one that plays the music you like or that broadcasts a talk show that interests you and set it on your radio.  KTIS (98.5 FM) and Wellness Radio (1570 AM)-here in the Twin Cities are my two favorites.

  • Schedule a daily devotional to be sent to your email address.  Many of us start our day by checking emails, so this is an easy way to be reminded to spend time with God.

  • For more in depth study, use a concordance.  This is a book that provides you with an alphabetical listing of key words from the Bible along with a reference to the passage(s) that contains that word.  Some Bibles even contain a concordance at the back.

AUTHENTIC WORSHIP

We feel honored to offer the participants of  Integrity & Grace the opportunity to acknowledge God’s Love Language of Worship each and every time they enter into His almighty presence, on their mats.  Each class is intentionally designed with worship music that supports our guiding scripture and allows God’s Spirit to speak to the Soul.  Spending time in Authentic Worship is a foundational pillar of our ministry and opens up the cluttered space to begin the conversations God so desires to have, with every person on this earth.  We truly believe that if you spend time immersed in Authentic Worship and allow God’s truth to penetrate your heart…transformational change WILL naturally happen.

My Prayer:  My dearest God.  Thank you for loving me the way you do.  I want to give you the best parts of my life, in everything I do and am committed to giving you my best fruits.  I devote my body, mind and heart to becoming who you desire for me to be.   Turning my ordinary life into a dynamic living sacrifice.  Thank you for feeding my soul with your Word through music.  I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life, and will praise you with my entire being now and for all of eternity.  I do not doubt your faithfulness and worship your holy name.  Amen.

Fueling Your Fire: Creating a Dynamic Life of Worship

Here are some simple suggestions to get you started:

  • Get involved in a solid, bible-based, grace-filled church.  You will find opportunities to worship our loving God all over here!

  • Start a gratitude journal.  Beginning to tell God thank you for all of  your blessings sets the tone for your heart to become more receptive to worshipping in the ordinary…the everyday.

  • Write out particular verses in music and always keep them handy.  When something being spoken over you resonates in your soul, write it down and keep it in a visible place.

  • Listen to Christian music and allow God’s Divine Word to be spoken over you every chance you get.  Washing dishes, eating dinner or quietly reading…wherever and whenever you can.

  • Make a list of songs that speak directly to your heart.  Turn this list into a playlist that is all ready to go when you need encouragement, love or to find peace.

  • Listen to God.  Make a point of having quiet time during your day for God to have a chance to really talk to you.

  • Create space and time.  Set aside a special time and place for worshipping and eliminate distractions.   It really is a choice and will NOT “just happen”.  Integrity & Grace is a wonderful option to carve out this time in the chaos of your life.

  • Worship with others.  Develop the habit of worshipping with friends and family.  There is something so moving in being surrounded by others who love and desire Jesus.  Passion truly fuels passion.

REVERENT PRAYER

We feel honored to offer the participants of Integrity & Grace the space and time to commune with God our Father each and every time they enter into His almighty presence, on their mats.  Carving out time for Reverent Prayer is a foundational pillar of our ministry and is intentionality placed in our time together to allow God the space and freedom to converse with us, in our own unique way.  Sometimes our prayer time is corporate, but many times it is intimate and in solitude.  No matter the comfort level, every perspective is honored and respected.  We truly believe that if you spend time engaged in Reverent Prayer and conversation with God…transformational change WILL naturally happen.

My Prayer:  Almighty God.  I pray to you because I can’t help myself.  I pray to you because I’m helpless.  I pray to you because the need flows out of me, all the time – waking and sleeping.  It doesn’t change you, God – it changes me.  – CS Lewis

I long to have a deep relationship with you and invite you to be involved in every part of my life, not just informed about it.  All honor and glory to you God.  Amen.

Fueling Your Fire: Creating a Dynamic Prayer Life

Here are some simple suggestions to get you started:

  • Start a prayer journal.  Recording your prayers in writing helps to focus prayers and allows you to reflect back on what God has done in your life.  Often times we NEED a tangible reminder.

  • Write out your prayers like a letter.  Start out “Dear God…” Sometimes having a starting point is half the battle.

  • Follow the prayer acronym PPC-Praise, Petition and Confession (modeled and referenced from the perspective of Jesus)

  • Review past entries in your prayer journal.  Periodically review former prayers to identify answered prayers.  Answered prayers fuel your fire, even when the answer isn’t what you were expecting or what you desired!  God’s ways are not our ways, but EVERY single prayer is answered.

  • Listen to God.  Make a point of having quiet time during your prayer time for God to have a chance to talk. Integrity & Grace is a wonderful option for allowing this to happen.

  • Create a praying place & time.  Set aside a special time and place for prayer and eliminate distractions. Make it beautiful and inviting. Esthetically pleasing.  Note:  This may just mean to get rid of the pile of junk mail and dirty laundry in your space.

  • Pray with others.  Develop the habit of praying with friends and family.  There is power in numbers and God designed us to live this life in community with others.

  • Choose a passage in the bible and simply insert your name (I or me) into it as you are reading.  Immersing yourself personally into His word becomes a powerful way to begin the conversation with Him.

FUNCTIONAL, RESTORATIVE EXERCISE

We feel honored to offer the participants of Integrity & Grace the opportunity to become stronger; Spirit-Soul-Body every time they enter into His almighty presence on their mats.  Functional, Restorative Exercise is a foundational pillar of our ministry and is based on the NASM approach to increasing proprioception,  joint function and overall stabilization in the body.  This component is intentionality placed in our time together to begin the rebuilding process, from the inside-out and is appropriate for absolutely everyone-from children to the elderly.  We truly believe that if you spend time Restoring your Spirit, Soul and Body through Functional, Restorative Exercise… transformational change WILL naturally happen.

My Prayer:  Thank you for this beautiful life you have given to me.  I desire for my spirit, soul and physical body to be in complete unison with your will for my life.  You have given me every tool necessary to live a life that is healed and whole in your Word.  Remind me who I am in you and never let your great love for me go ignored in the busyness of my life.  I am so grateful for your aligning presence in my life and look forward to all of the good things that you have in store for me.  Reveal to me your plan for better health and wellness, Jesus.  I want to be used to further your Kingdom.  Amen.

Fueling Your Fire: Creating a Balanced Exercise Life

Here are some simple suggestions to get you started:

  • Start a fitness journal.  Recording your activity in writing helps to focus your efforts. This is not meant to be a crazy, dysfunctional binding agreement.  It is meant to reflect back the changes you are making.

  • Invite God to be involved from the beginning.  Start out “Dear God…” and ask Him to lead and guide you as you enter into exercise and making better food choices.

  • Find active things you enjoy doing. You can always add in more options, but start with what you naturally love.  Studies show that you will NOT stick with something you despise.

  • Spend equal time doing strength training, cardiovascular training and flexibility training.  Integrity & Grace provides all three and is a great option to meet this criteria.

  • Listen to God.  Make a point of having quiet time during your exercise time for God to have a chance to talk to you. He will speak, I promise.  Find some good worship music and allow God to speak victory over you.

  • Create an exercising place & time.  Set aside a special time and place for exercise and eliminate distractions.   Let others know about that time so that they can support you.

  • Exercise with others.  Develop the habit of exercise with friends and family.  It is so much more fun than going it alone.

  • Start small.  Jumping in and expecting to work out everyday just will not happen and will lead to failure; self-effort.  Start with 2X/week and then build from there.  Anything is better than nothing!
