Is Integrity & Grace Christian Yoga?

  • With 100% transparency, it is not.  Christian Yoga already exists, so God has called Integrity & Grace into something completely different in providing a brand new Mind-Body alternative method.  We only want to be honest here, because if you are expecting Christian yoga, you may be disappointed with our unique, barefoot Method…but we sincerely hope you are not.  🙂
  • May we suggest some great places to look into if you are looking to find out more about authentic Christian yoga;   Holy Yoga, Yogadevotion and YogaFaith are some institutions that we have heard provide wonderful options, but are not able to give any firsthand details about.

Is Integrity & Grace a New Method?

  • YES! Integrity & Grace is a brand new Method that does not already exist and is physically founded on the NASM approach to functional exercise.  Adding in the spiritual component of God’s Word, Worship and Prayer complete the holistic process in a way that allows restitution for both the Body and the Soul.

  • Key Concepts: functional training, barefoot conditioning, corrective exercise, foundational training, core training, proper alignment, injury rehabilitation and prevention, increased flexibility and joint range of motion, balance training, strength training, work in all planes of motion and spine work in all appropriate ways.

What is the physical component of Integrity & Grace Based On?

  • Proven Physical Concepts that have withstood the test of time and have been proven to help people to become healthier, physically.

  • NASM, NETA, FMS, ACE, ACSM, Foundation Training, Precision Nutrition, Pilates, Les Mills-Body Pump and Body Flow, BARRE Techniques and much research in Barefoot Training and body re-alignment.

What Should I Expect in class?

  • Complete Acceptance.  A non-competitive, group class format that will last a little over an hour.  You will feel most comfortable arriving about 5-10 minutes early to find a spot, meet new friends and begin to prepare the quietness of your heart.

  • Preferably a barefoot setting…but if that is not you, skid resistant socks are just fine.

  • The opportunity to spend time individually on your mat; eliminating any competition or comparison that may seep into your mind.

  • A series of worship songs, scripture, prayer and fluid movement that will speak to you and allow you to gain peace, spiritual wisdom, strength, flexibility and a more accurate perception of who you are.  Spirit, Soul and Body.

  • All levels of faith and experience…don’t let your mind believe that everyone else will know more than you.  That is not true.

  • Work.  Some things will be hard.  That is the truth, but the only way that you will get stronger is to have to work a bit harder.  Safe, but hard work will help you develop the foundational inner strength that Integrity & Grace is built upon.

  • Many modifications and suggestions for tailoring the class to meet your specific needs.

  • Fun, smiling and energy!  Authentic Movement at whatever level works for your body.

What Do I Need To Know Beforehand?

  • You do not have to know anything and will not need to share what you do or don’t know…both physically and spiritually, that is truly between you and God.

  • God will meet you where you are.  I will meet you where you are.  The others in the class will meet you where you are. We have no expectations of you.

What is the Cost of Integrity & Grace?

  • 3 Options for Participation:

$30.00 Suggested Fee-Full 10-week session (10 classes) “discount rate” reserves your spot for the entire session!  This option will make the most sense if you plan to come every week and if you also purchase within the first 3 classes of the session starting. Otherwise, one of the other options would make the most sense financially.

$40.00 Suggested Fee-10-Class Punchcard.  This punchcard can be used each time that you come into class and never expires.  This option will make the most sense if you do not plan to come every week, but know that you want to participate whenever you can.  You only are paying for what you use with this option.

$5.00 Suggested Fee-Per Class “drop in” Fee.  This option covers your one-time “drop-in” each time we have the pleasure of having you join us for class.  This option would be best for anyone who is not able to commit on a regular basis, but still wants to be involved intermittently.

What does the name Integrity & Grace mean?

  • When God was revealing His plan to me, I just kept hearing the words Integrity and Grace over and over in my mind.  After praying about it and spending time in the Word, He revealed what these words meant for our ministry.
  • The name Integrity & Grace represents the un-compromised, perfect character of God (His Integrity) in conjunction with the unmerited, undeserved favor of God (His Grace) at the heart of all we do.  Jesus qualifies us…we were never meant to do it on our own and we will never be able to.

Is Integrity & Grace safe for pregnant women?

  • Yes, our unique METHOD is completely safe for pregnant women to do, and many modifications will be given to ensure that the workout is safe and effective for both the mother and the unborn child.  NOTE:  Before taking class, we would ask that you would first talk to your physician, and go over the following (attached) form together before joining us.   This form is based on the scientific evidence and information of a clinical standpoint of pregnant women and exercise.  Integrity & Grace desires to follow this professional protocol, as we are not doctors and cannot provide physician care.

What Do I Need To Bring?

    • A Sticky Exercise Mat (This type of mat is a little thinner and will stick to the floor for your safety.  It also rolls up easily for storage and is inexpensive.  You can find these mats almost everywhere…Target, Wal-Mart, Dicks Sporting Goods, Marshall’s etc. NOTE:  Some of us always carry extra mats, so if you would like to borrow one to try, let me know and I will bring you one)

    • A water bottle and a towel-both for sweat and also for extra cushion if needed.

    • Layered, comfortable-breathable clothing that will allow you to move freely.  Ironically, tighter, stretchy clothing will feel best to ensure that shirts and pants stay in place when moving in certain exercises.

    • If uncomfortable going barefoot, a pair of socks with a sticky bottom can be found at pretty much any store where athletic-wear is sold. Honestly, a barefoot setting will feel best and is so good for your feet and ankle complex.

What If I Feel That I Am Not In Shape?

  • No problem.  Everybody can do something and this is a great place to start!  The great deceiver is deceiving your mind and he would like nothing better than for you to talk yourself out of coming to gain depth in your relationship with God and in your relationship with your body.

  • God calls you to take a risk and trust Him…it is really just between the two of you.

  • You will be surrounded by a community of believers that are focused, first and foremost on their relationship with Jesus Christ.  If you can’t trust this group then there is definitely a problem.

Who is Integrity & Grace For?

  • Absolutely everyone!

  • You will find Gods divine Word, spoken through worshipful music and prayer. Embraced in groups by both solid believers and hungry seekers who are looking to grow in a relationship with God. Everyone fits into that description.

  • You will find growth through community, study and acceptance, encouraging all participants to spread the good news and help the ministry to grow, impacting this world for the Lord.

  • You will find physical training that is beneficial to all ages, that focuses on the training of the spirit and soul, first. Training of the physical body is then the secondary bi-product.

Why Is Integrity and Grace Offered in Churches?

  • Because we desire to go into the places that people worship in and are comfortable in. Instead of asking people to come to us, we come to them and meet them where they are.

  • Allowing people who may not have the opportunity to belong to a health club or a facility to grow in their relationship with God while learning more about their bodies.

How often can I do Integrity & Grace?

  • You could do this kind of strengthening and stretching exercise everyday, however we advise 3 times/week.
  • You can do the live class and then the recorded version at home to meet this recommended guideline.

Where Does my donation fee go?

Your Generous Donation Fee Helps To:

  • Raise Up Leaders To Carry Out The Mission-Affordable, below the industry standard; Class Fees, Instructor Training Options and Scholarship Funds for those who otherwise could not afford classes or training.
  • Serve and Love Others Well-Ministry outreach to “the least of these” as we break the stereotypical boundaries held by many areas of health and wellness.
  • Educational Outreach Opportunities-Events, workshop execution and organizational development.
  • Administrative, Technology and Advancement Tools-Administrative and general costs of running the ministry.

What questions should I ask in supporting a non-profit ministry?

  • Is the entity transparent and do you care about the cause or the mission that the nonprofit is addressing? Do they “walk the walk”… or just “talk the talk”…
  • Does the information you currently have access to, give you confidence that the nonprofit is effective in their work? Is there transparency in how they gain and use funds to support their mission…
  • Do you believe that the people leading the nonprofit are of good character, capable and trustworthy? What is the track record; slow and steady ultimately wins the race…
  • When you give to the ministry do you feel a sense of joy and peace knowing that this is exactly what God is telling you to do? He always leads and confirms…
  • If your answer is “yes”, to all of these questions, we so appreciate your support of our ministry and can’t say thank you enough.  If you find that Integrity & Grace is not the ministry for you, then please be encouraged to find a different Kingdom advancing ministry to partner with and donate to.  In the end, all efforts lead to the same outcome.  Eternity.  May God bless you abundantly!

How Does Integrity & Grace Run As a Non-Profit Ministry?

We Believe…

  1. That ALL products and services that generate a fee MUST be directly associated with our mission: To reach others for Christ-exercise is our simple tool.

“Integrity & Grace exists to inspire transformation of the human spirit, soul and body by growing deeper in relationship with the one true God-understanding His pursuing love and relentless grace-as we become healthier, overall in the process. One God, one community, and one person at a time.”

  1. All information regarding fees and services should be made readily available to you, the public, including available discounts and scholarships. When charging for services, we have an obligation to set fair prices-far less than what a for-profit group would charge for a similar service and seek ways to accommodate an individual’s ability to pay, keeping in mind the need to balance our organization’s revenue and expenses.
  2. There are numerous studies that validate the fact that, encouraging clients (in the health and wellness industry), to contribute at least some fee-however modest in its revenue-generating properties, creates deeper buy in for people and is mission enhancing and empowering. In improving ones’ wellbeing, we feel that Integrity & Grace will have a higher success rate in follow through and commitment using this buy in model. See our Investment Page for a deeper understanding of our ministry model.
  3. That when possible and appropriate, Integrity & Grace should assist other non-profits in the community through alliances and sharing of resources, connections and expertise. There is strength in unified numbers and we want to band together-lock arms to share the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
